Cup and Tray Sealing Machines
Cup and tray sealing machines are used in the food and beverage industry. Water,
soups, cheese, ice creams etc.
The
single cavity cup sealers are used for small scale production units and multi
cavity cup sealers are used for mass production units. These can be used for sealing
in products like curd, jelly, puddings, milk and other frozen foods. These are
also used for electrical appliances and soap powders etc. the cup material generally
used is PVC, PP and HIPS. The
technology used is heat weld. It makes the cup leak proof and airtight. The multi
cavity cup sealers are used for mass production and hence they are either semi
automatic or automatic. They have auto adjustable dies to adjust to the container
size. The
tray sealing machines currently being used have vacuum less gas flushing. While
sealing the oxygen is reduced to very low levels and the laminar flow technology
prevents the atmospheric oxygen to enter the container before sealing. The system
uses plastic membrane seals. All the operator has to do is put the tray in the
cut out and push the button to slide it to the lid or the seal station. The machines
automatically forms, cuts and seals tray The
manual tray sealers are ideal for the newly launched products, samples and test
launch of products. The automatic or the semi automatic machines are used for
sealing various things from tealeaves and ice creams to dry fruits and soap. The
new sealing technology enhances the shelf life and improves the product ambience.
There
are fill and seal machines available that of course do the job of filling the
cup or tray and seal it but can be used as sealing machines for the pre filled
containers. The seal can be plastic die cut or can be pre cut foil, film or lid.
Some machines have an attachment to apply plastic sealers over the lidded cups
or trays. The automatic machines have no cup no lid option.
