Oven Shrink

It is used for shrinking the film at high temperatures around products or pallets. The film is wrapped around the product and passed over the conveyer to the oven where it is shrunk. The conveyer then leads it to the cooling unit.

These can be gas powered electric or infrared heated. The gas-powered ovens are preferred for wrapping pallet loads.

Gas powered pallet oven shrink suited for the shrink wrapping of palletized loads. The oven hood and ventilation system greatly reduces energy consumption and reduces the escape of combustible gases. Aspirator is installed at the base of the oven to increases the anchoring of the film at the bottom and avoid film distortion. Burners are mounted on the inside walls of the oven shrink hood.

New generation shrink-wrap ovens are using infrared emitters as the heat source. This is considered to be the most secure wrapping. The shrink cycle is automated. The installation and maintenance is easier and it can be integrated with the existing conveyer system. They are more suited for inline operations. It consists of a shrink wrap oven, a scissors lift and a compression platen.
